Update

Parents,

Please understand, when Skyline cancelled our dual meet on 4/3, I offered to host the meet at MHS.  This would have given us 3 home meets.

That didn't happen and now our dual meet from the 3rd is being made up tomorrow at Skyline.  We will also compete against Ann Arbor Pioneer, the team we were supposed to host tomorrow.

I know this isn't ideal and it certainly isn't what I wanted.

Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.  We will attempt to schedule another home meet before the season ends.

THIS JUST IN!!!

TOMORROW'S MEET WILL BEGIN AT 3:00PM.

Again, this is out of our control.  I apologize for the further inconvenience, but it has been decided and approved.

This means students will be excused at 12:15pm to leave MHS by 12:30pm.

Skyline does not have lights and with 4 teams competing (Bedford will also be there), the meet is sure to last longer than our typical duals.

Thanks,
Coach Scoles

When traveling by bus, ALL student-athletes, must return to MHS by bus.
When absolutely necessary to leave a meet and return via private transportation, the student-athlete must submit, in writing, notice to the athletic office. Student-athletes may only leave with parents or gaurdians. Written notice to athletic office must be received 24 hours in advance.
Our office wants to reiterate the school policy for student transportation when buses are not used:
*Students may NOT drive themselves to an event
*Students may NOT drive with other students
*Parents can only transport their own child to an event UNLESS a “Private Transportation Application Form” has been completed and approved by administration. Each child must have a seat belt available and secured.

You are invited to the 12th Jefferson
Freshman/Sophomore Invitational
Date: Saturday – April 5, 2014
Time: 9:30 AM – Field Events (no pole vault)
12:00 PM – Running events begin. (we will start sooner if possible,
so be ready)

Awards: Top six (6) places in every event receive medals. No team scoring.

Notes: All events are a relay, including the field events. Top two are scored
in the field events. You may enter three (3) athletes in every field
event, but you only need two or one to enter.

No pre-meet entries. Lanes will be assigned the day of the meet.

¼ - inch pyramid spikes are allowed on our track please.

This is a great meet for your younger kids to have fun and it’s not a
very long day. Meet typically gets done by 3:00 pm.

T-SHIRTS will be on sale for $13 each. Please inform your athletes.

Admission: $5.00 each person.

Location: Take I-75 towards Monroe, MI. Get off at the Nadeau Rd. exit 18,
take Nadeau east to N. Stony Creek Rd. and you will see us. Please
park all buses in the Middle School parking lot.

New: You may enter a ‘B’ relay in every event (including field events),
but your second relay cannot medal unless there are six or less
total teams in that event. This will help schools with more 9th and
10th graders to get all their kids to compete in an event. We feel this
will help you get all your athletes in the meet.

Please remember that this is an invitational for your freshmen and sophomores

who don’t normally get a chance to compete much in an invitational setting.
