Boys Trojan Track & Field - Week 8

Update - 5/4/16

Bus 1 8:00 AM
Bus 2 - TBA - Afternoon

Recap -

Tuesday's dual vs. Bedford was bittersweet.  It was the last home meet for our seniors and they performed well.  There's a lot of season left, but still, it's strange to think about Trojan Track & Field with Bitzer, Blackmore, Dawn, Dumoulin, Green, and Wohlfeil.  These 4th-year seniors and their families will be greatly missed.  In addition, Cusumano, Davis, and Wloczko, although with us for less time than the others, will be missed.
Let's make the most of May and your final month on the Trojan Track & Field roster!!!

Monroe Evening News Article  - The Monroe News covered the meet well, sending a reporter and photographer.  Most years the reporters want to talk about the rivalry between Monroe and Bedford and while there's no doubt that we want to win track & field meets, it's just a little different in our sport.  I know many of you are friends with the Bedford kids, still it's nice to get the "W".  As we discussed at practice, Bedford is a much better track and field team this season than they've been in the past few seasons.  We caught a bit of a break as they were without their top 800 runner and won convincingly, 88-49.  It was definitely a team effort.  We continue to make progress and have a good time doing so.

By the numbers -

For the Regional Meet, we are allowed two entries for each individual event.  If three or more athletes meet the AQS all may compete at the Regional.

Fundraiser Scheduled for Saturday, May 21 -

An awesome fund raising opportunity fell into our lap this week, but I'll need a lot of help to pull it off. On Saturday, May 21 (the day after the Regional), we've been asked to help with Tenneco's Family Day. We need 27 (including 8 adults) to earn $1250 / 54 (16 adults) to earn $2500!!!
